We have great news today, as our first In-App App Store has gone live with the launch of the Financial Times Germany iPhone App on friday. The apprupt App Store will deliver the most relevant apps to Financial Times Germany readers.

We have been working together with the FT Germany for a while already regarding their mobile website, so both parties decided to extend the successful cooperation to the new iPhone app. It is doing really well in the Apple App Store so far, as number 9 of most downloaded free apps, almost 5 stars and over 100 user reviews already – we expect downloads and overall position in the App Store to only go up in the coming weeks. It is a great app, so download it here, if you haven’t already.

iPhone app publishers that want to deliver relevant app content to their users and add value to their existing traffic, get in touch.

Developers that want to reach out to their target group and increase downloads, sign up now.

We will keep the good news coming.

A Few Announcements For The New Year

12 Jan. 10
Posted by Kjell Fischer

We have recently gone live with the ‘Performance Network’, our affiliate network for iPhone apps and must say that it is off to quite a good start – not only because GoMo News and Mobile Marketing Magazine wrote about us (thank you). Although we do not want to reveal any numbers yet, developer registrations have clearly taken off these last days.

For those of you wondering why they cannot enter the Performance Network on apprupt.com, this area will be available as soon as your app is live on the App Store with our tracking library included. You will then be able to see reports for your app(s) as well a check your account balance and complete payments.

Furthermore, the new year will bring some changes to this blog. We will do less posts a week and try to cover a less broad range of topics and more information coming with each post. We want this blog to be helpful as a source of guidance and information on a few topics, but not as an app-news ticker.

These are the topics we want to focus on:

  • App Marketing: Statistics and numbers (conversions etc.), experiences (channels) and outlooks (trends)
  • Product Marketing: General marketing trends an how they might relate to mobile apps
  • Market data: trends and stats
  • apprupt: anything concerning ourselves, from new features to official announcements

We are looking to an exciting 2010 for mobile and for apprupt – so stay tuned!

apprupt At The European Tech Tour Web And Mobility Summit

25 Nov. 09
Posted by Kjell Fischer

Tech Tour Top 25 Company Last week apprupt had the chance to spend two great and inspiring days at the Web and Mobility Summit of the European Tech Tour.  The European Tech Tour has the goal to gather the best emerging European companies in a given industry sector – apprupt was one of 25 companies who were invited to the event to speak in front of a selected group of investors, entrepreneurs and other industry players. We were chosen out of more than 400 companies which applied to attend.

The event itself was inspiring and very well organized, apprupt co-founder Jascha Samadi held a presentation on apprupt and I myself was able to attend a panel on “where do all the advertising dollars go?”. We also met a lot of industry-savvy mobile-enthusiasts and other entrepreneurs. It was great sharing thoughts and ideas with such a selected group of people over the course of two days. Although not all start-ups were from the mobile sector, from talking to those that know something about the space, it was clear that the future for mobile is a bright one – regarding apps, mobile web as well as mobile advertising. Though this might sound like common sense to you, it is always great to see that we are just at the beginning of the mobile revolution and a lot of bright entrepreneurs are working on making mobile happen today and tomorrow.

Among the start-ups that attended the event were cavi, kaufda, plista and studentsn. Next event on our list is the German iPhone Developer Conference – see you there?
