Let’s entertain you!

We have started marketing the mobile display inventory of adplace.com, the advertising platform of the radio app-focused global digital agency, Spoiled Milk.

Every month, around 400 German-language radio apps are used by more than five million users, for live radio streaming to mobile devices. We are now contributing to this inventory with mobile display banners, rich media formats and a variety of special advertising formats that have been developed in-house.

brand new technology: ad visibility

Ad VisibilityWe have developed a brand new and so far unique process of ad delivery in our mobile marketing portfolio! Thanks to a new process, our in-house designed ad server technology we will postpone ad delivery until the respective ad space actually appears on the user’s mobile screen. This allows mobile publishers to monetise their inventory even more effectively with additional CPM ad placements in the areas of mobile environments that are not immediately visible. It will also be possible for the first time to charge for a 100 percent valid click-through rate, even for ads appearing in the area of a mobile website or app not immediately visible.

The great advantage of measuring ad visibility: In the past, mobile publishers were faced with the problem that CPM marketing revenue, which is generally based on page impressions, could only be generated from a CPM ad space in the immediately visible area of an app or mobile web page. An ad impression in the area not immediately visible could not automatically be defined as an actual ad view. From now on ad delivery and billing will only be effected once the ad space appears in response to the user scrolling down the smartphone display.

Initial analyses conducted in the mobile environments of six regional daily newspapers showed a visibility level of over 70 percent for ads that were placed underneath articles. More Informations

apprupts half-year review

The year 2012 is no longer the youngest, and it is time for us to leave the first six months of the year again to reminisce. It was an exciting half-year: in terms of sales, reach, product innovation and human resources we could continue to grow. Our team includes more than 40 employees in Hamburg and Dusseldorf. We also have expanded with MobileFIT our mobile format ads range to great branding formats, and recently we launched our in-house developed Mobile Device Recognition processes. Some of you may have noticed, that our corporate design is in a friendly orange now – and generally there is a lot happening on our website!

We launches mobile device recognition method as an alternative to UDID

We proudly present our brandnew tracking method which differs substantially from existing alternative solutions without UDID recognition in how it determines the effectiveness of ads. The so called mobile device recognition system was developed over the past 18 months in parallel to using UDID. While our method has reached 85 percent accuracy, compared to UDID tracking.

Last August, Apple announced its intention to start rejecting apps from the App Store that allow the use and transfer of UDID (Unique Device Identifier). Advertisers, publishers, advertising service providers and marketing companies are now faced with the challenge of developing alternative tracking methods. Our data protection-compliant mobile device recognition system can currently detect 85% of all user activity error-free, compared with the extremely reliable UDID tracking system.
