01/20/2011: apprupt network reaches two-thirds of all iPhone users in Germany
apprupt network reaches two-thirds of all iPhone users in Germany
apprupt is also restructuring parts of its network and creating a premium segment
Hamburg, January 20th, 2011 – At the beginning of the new year, apprupt is able to announce further new publisher collaborations. With the recently launched integration of its app recommendation formats into the iPhone apps of stern.de and now of n-tv and FTD as well, apprupt is expanding its reach further, while also strengthening its existing focus on premium environments.
The apprupt network already covers a total of 12 of the AGOF top 20 mobile-enabled websites and top 20 mobile apps, reaching 65% of all german iPhone users. Further publisher collaborations are currently being planned. The main component of the collaborations is the integration of the context-driven Contvertising format into the mobile environments of the publisher partners. With this format, users are provided with recommendations on value-adding apps, which are generally placed underneath any viewed article and match its editorial content. During the course of last year, this proprietary format has become established as a novel method for the monetization of mobile environments in addition to premium sales via mobile display banners.
Due to the strong response in the premium publisher segment, apprupt is also expanding its product and service portfolio further. With the launch of a Premium Network to coexist with the established Affiliate Network, apprupt is now establishing a clear separation between the premium segment and the long-tail publisher area. apprupt will thus ensure an even stronger and more individual consideration of the requirements of the large number of premium publishers with respect to content and quality in the future.
Jascha Samadi, Managing Director and founder of apprupt, comments as follows: “The newly forged collaborations in particular demonstrate that our formats are extraordinarily attractive to the premium publisher segment. Virtually 60 % of all editorial titles from the combined AGOF top 40 mobile titles are now equipped with our formats. As Germany’s first premium performance network for mobile apps, we are catering for the increasing desire of premium publishers for an additional and complementary method of generating revenue within their mobile environments and offer appvertisers ways of extending the distribution scope of their apps.”
