Innovative advertising opportunities on the iPad & Co – apprupt introduces TabletTouch Ad
Novel advertising format can be integrated into stationary websites, tablet PC users are recommended interesting apps and other mobile products when they visit online websites
Hamburg, 5 July 2011 – apprupt, the premium performance network for mobile context advertising, has developed a new advertising format which, for the first time, is not exclusively designed for mobile Internet, but instead specially for the Internet experience via tablets.
The run on tablet PCs has continued unabated in 2011. The market researcher eMarketer is already estimating that more than 81m tablet PCs will be sold in 2012.* As a result, advertising formats that are specially designed for tablet PCs are gaining in importance. Using the TabletTouch Ad format, apps and other mobile products can now be advertised on stationary websites visited by using an iPad or other tablet PC.
Online sales house Ströer Interactive, ranked on 8th position in Germany’s sales house reach ranking, is the first partner to implement the new format.** In an initial test case with digital newspaper ’Sächsische Zeitung’ (http://www.sz-online.de via iPad) the TabletTouch Ad is integrated at the right bottom corner. When clicking the format the expandable ad shows a cover flow exposing relevant iPad apps and other promoted products. Ad size and positioning as well as colour and the amount of promoted products within the cover flow are customizable and can be fully adapted to the publisher’s needs.
