New platform, new target groups: apprupt extends its mobile network environments with the addition of Windows Phone 7

The WP7 App from TV SPIELFILM is the first publisher title of the new mobile platform in the apprupt premium network

Hamburg, 4th August 2011 – The mobile premium performance network apprupt has secured its first publisher partner in the course of the extension of its network through the addition of the Windows Phone 7 platform. Following on from the TV SPIELFILM iPhone App, the TV SPIELFILM Windows Phone 7 App is the second mobile environment of the TV SPIELFILM Verlag GmbH in which apprupt has integrated its advertising formats. A third wave of integration within the TV SPIELFILM Android App is shortly to follow.

Barely nine months after the launch of the new mobile operating system Windows Phone 7, more than 7,000 application developers have already registered and published in excess of 25,000 apps for the Windows Phone 7 marketplace.* The growth in the number of applications is, at least in terms of quantity, comparable to that which took place after the launch of the Apple App Store in 2008.

apprupt’s formats are integrated amongst other places on the homepage of the TV SPIELFILM WP7 App and beneath the TV channel overview. Andreas Mauch, Head of Digital Business Product Management at Verlagsgruppe Milchstrasse GmbH, expects a marketing success similar to that of the TV SPIELFILM iPhone App: “apprupt has given us very successful support as a partner in the monetisation of our TV SPIELFILM iPhone App. We are very happy to be able to continue this tried and tested partnership with the new WP7 platform and, in the near future, also with Android.”
